How much of our donation is used for the children?
92% of your dollar goes to teacher salaries, school administration, or supplies for the students. Our staff takes no salaries, just some travel and website fees.
How do you evaluate a project for funding?
We use the Radha Paudel Foundation based in Kathmandu and Jumla for recommendations, references, and qualified information on the organizational structure and financial needs of the school.
What banks do you use and are your accounts transparent?
We use CampusUsa Credit Union, Bank of America, and Nepal Investment Banks for transmittal of funds. All accounts are open for inspection.
How do we know the schools are using the funds correctly?
All schools are required to make regular reports of how they used the funds. Radha Paudel communicates with all principals and administrators regularly.
Can I sponsor a specific child?
We prefer to let the teachers and administrators disburse the funds to keep the schools open for all. Sponsoring one child means denying another child.
Can we donate clothing, books, and other goods?
We prefer that you donate cash which is spent locally and helps the Nepali economy. Plus, shipping expenses are too high to make it worthwhile.
Do you sell your list of donors to other charities?
Never. We do maintain a list of donors' emails but only to reach them to confirm or adjust a donation.
How much do you spend on fundraising?
Less than 5% of our proceeds. During our annual tournament play day, most of our food, entertainment, and supplies are donated by local businesses. The UNT Athletic Department allows us to use the Waranch Tennis Facility at no charge and we have plenty of volunteers..
